CDXZipStream

Welcome to the CDXZipStream September 2013 Newsletter

Our newest version of CDXStreamer has faster data access and links to the latest USPS ZIP code databases. We've upgraded our free Radius Template so you can now find Canadian postal codes (as well as U.S. ZIP codes) within a specified radius; we also review all the templates currently available for free download from our website.

Note:  A major update to our ZIP code database resulted in 7,633 changes this past month.  Consider updating your CDXZipStream database to reflect these changes.  For more information please refer to the article: Purchasing Updates for CDXZipStream

CDXStreamer 2.0.26 is Now Faster

We're pleased to announce the release a new version of CDXStreamer.

CDXStreamer is an Excel add-in designed to correct mailing address information and streamline access to Zip+4 data.  Not only will it apply USPS standard abbreviations and formatting, but it will correct misspellings as well as missing or incorrect city, state, and ZIP code data.  It also automatically looks up ZIP+4 codes.  The address correction feature of CDXStreamer can virtually eliminate undeliverable addresses and greatly reduce the costs associated with bad address data.

Version 2.0.26 of CDXStreamer improves data access speeds and provides access to the latest USPS zip code databases.  Settings for drop-down menus are now maintained between Excel sessions. CDXStreamer works in all versions of Excel for Windows, both 32 bit and 64 bit.

CDXStreamer is available as a free 7-day trial .  Pricing is on a per month basis.  For a short tutorial, please view the YouTube video:  Address Correction and ZIP+4 Analysis in Excel.

Do ZIP and Canadian Postal Code Radius Analysis

Identifying locations within the radius of a target ZIP code can help you plan delivery routes, create direct mailing lists, and in general support marketing efforts around a store or other central location.  Now you can download our new, free Radius Template that will do all this for Canadian postal codes as well.

Just enter your address or ZIP/postal code list, and specify the target code and radius distance around the target.  Also specify which database you wish to use: U.S., Canadian, or both.  If the target location is in Canada, select the Canadian database, and all listed Canadian locations within the radius will be returned.  For cases that are near the U.S.- Canadian border, you can also select both databases and the template will identify which locations in your list are within the specified radius, regardless of country.  Please note this feature requires separate purchase of the Canadian database for use with the Lite, Basic, or Premium Demographic versions of CDXZipStream.

All our templates are free and can be downloaded from our links page.  The templates are formatted, easy-to-use Excel files that access CDXZipStream functions directly (instead of through worksheet formulas) and so can process long lists even more quickly. Here's a rundown of what our other templates offer:

Route Optimization (with GPX export): Optimizes a list of addresses to minimize driving time or distance, and creates a report including optimized order of the route, driving distance, driving time, and cost.  Results can be exported to a .gpx file for later use with a GPS.

Lat-Long Route Optimization (with GPX export):  The same as above, but locations are input as a list of latitude-longitude points.

Driving Distance: Calculates driving time, driving distance, cost, or total trip duration between two lists of addresses.

Driving Distance Matrix:  For a matrix of addresses or zip codes, calculates driving distance, driving time, cost or trip duration between all combinations of locations.

Geocoding: Finds latitude and longitude for each address in a list.

Reverse Geocoding: Finds the closest address for each geocode (latitude and longitude) point in a list.

Census Tract FIPS Coding: Identifies the U.S. Census tract and block FIPS code for each address in a list.  These codes can then be used as input for other demographic databases.

Latest Data Updates
