deactivate installations on computers you are no longer using. Also

Deactivating
CDXZipStream Installations
We've previously covered how to install CDXZipStream
on new computers in this newsletter and in the blog article How to Reinstall CDXZipStream on a New Computer.
But what procedure should you use when you want to remove and
deactivate CDXZipStream?
CDXZipStream is licensed per user and each license
includes two activations. This allows you to put CDXZipStream on one
main and one backup computer like a laptop. If you have
just purchased a new computer and have already used all of your activations
you will receive an error from our registration server.
In the past, you would need to contact us at support@cdxtech.com
to remove older computers. But we've now added a feature to the
latest version of CDXZipStream that allows you to handle this. When
you press the "Register/Upgrade" button in the CDXZipStream
Account menu item in Excel you will see the following dialog:
On activated copies of the program you will now see a
"Deactivate This Computer" button. Pressing this button
will lead to a prompt for you to enter your cdxtech.com website
credentials. After successfully validating your request the computer
will be removed from your activation list and the installation
deregistered. You can then proceed to uninstall CDXZipStream using
the programs feature in the Control Panel of Windows.
There are situations where this feature will not work
like on a proxy network where our activation server can't be
contacted. You can still proceed with the activation and then contact
us at support@cdxtech.com
to remove the computer.
To get this new feature you need to install
CDXZipStream version 3.3.0.3 or better which is the current trial
version on our site. This will work with all versions of
CDXZipStream.

CDXZipStream Demographic Report Template
You may be familiar with our free demographic report
tool available on our website.
This popular tool is currently the #1 link for the Google search term
"ZIP Code demographics". The reports contain over 50 key
demographic statistics including household income, population, median
age and business employment. One question we get asked is there any
way to use CDXZipStream to create similar reports for many ZIP Codes
at one time?
To solve this problem we've created a new template to
provide the same demographic items in a summary report for all ZIP
Codes in a list. The free template is available to CDXZipStream users
on our website who have the Demographics
version of CDXZipStream or better.
Just enter your ZIP Code list in column B. You can use
a custom list or create specific lists with the CDXZiplist or
CDXRadius functions. Then press "Get Data" to import all
data items:
Charts and reports will also be created summarizing
demographics, population, race, housing and income distribution.
Duplicate ZIP Codes in your list will be combined to properly weight
the results.

Latest Data
Updates
Canadian and U.S. data feeds of
CDXZipStream were updated as of April 26. There were 63 changes
made to the U.S. ZIP Code database this month. If you would
like to update your database to reflect these changes, select
the "Account" option on the CDXZipStream commandbar and
click on "Check for Available Database Updates". You
can then update each database as required. Please note that
updates for the classic version of CDXZipStream have been
discontinued.
CDXZipStream updates are a
part of the one-year software maintenance subscription included with
your purchase. If you would like to extend your
subscription, please sign in to the CDX Technologies website and from
the account area for CDXZipStream, select "Buy Data
Update".
