CDXZipStream

Welcome to the CDX Technologies December 2017 Newsletter

Best wishes for the New Year from the team at CDX Technologies. In this issue we discuss new cloud-based tools for ZIP+4 Address Lookup and Demographics now available on our website.  We also issue a second reminder for the new encryption standard for our servers and products going into effect in February 2018.

New Cloud-Based ZIP+4 Lookup and Demographic Tools

We now have available on our website a new Bulk Address Correction and ZIP+4 Lookup Tool and ZIP Code Demographics Batch Report Tool.  These tools operate independently of Excel and can be used a one-time basis without purchasing a software license.

You may be familiar with our free ZIP Code Demographic Report.   Just enter a ZIP Code to see a report covering demographics, gender, race or general information for that location.  If you need data for many ZIP Codes you can use our new bulk tool to download information provided in this report in one step.  Just upload a csv or Excel file to the site to start and in a few seconds you will see a preview of the report.  After purchasing the report you will be able to download the complete results in a csv file.

For a single address we offer a Free Address Correction and ZIP+4 Lookup tool.  If you need an address list checked and ZIP+4 Codes appended you can use our Bulk Correction tool. This works in a similar fashion to the demographics tool and you can upload your data in Excel or csv formats.  Single or multiple column formats are supported.  This service is similar to the reports produced in our CDXStreamer Excel add-in.

The tools are priced at $.01 per request (ZIP Code or address) with a minimum charge of $9.95 and support up to 20,000 requests at one time. If you will be doing multiple reports you can use your CDXStreamer account instead which offers significantly lower costs per request.  CDXStreamer accounts can now be used for either the Excel Add-in or the new cloud-based tools.

Update Your PCs for TLS 1.2 Encryption Requirement

This is a second reminder that we will be eliminating support of the older https encryption standard TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 on our servers in February 2018.  These older standards have been identified as not being as secure as the latest standard TLS 1.2.  With this change we have updated both CDXZipStream and CDXStreamer to default to this protocol.   Please download and install the latest versions of our software before February 2018 to be compatible with this change.

As discussed in prior newsletters at will also be ending our support for the "classic" version of CDXZipStream on January 1, 2018.  Classic users can upgrade to the latest version of CDXZipStream for the cost of a data maintenance subscription in your online account.  This offer will only be available for a limited time.

Latest Data Updates

Canadian and U.S. data feeds of CDXZipStream were updated as of December 26.  There were 878 changes made to the U.S. database this month.  If you would like to update your database to reflect these changes, select the "Account" option on the CDXZipStream commandbar and click on "Check for Available Database Updates".  You can then update each database as required.

CDXZipStream updates are a part of the one-year software maintenance subscription included with your purchase.  If you would like to extend your subscription, please sign in to the CDX Technologies website and from the account area for CDXZipStream, select "Buy Data Update".

As always we hope you find the information here helpful for you and your organization.  You can contact us with your feedback and suggestions by replying to this email.
