Microsoft Mappoint is a separate program that needs to be installed for the CDXRouteMP and CDXLocateMP functions to work. Our latest product supports both Bing Maps and Microsoft Mappoint. Separate functions (CDXRouteBing and CDXLocateBing) are used to access Bing.
We recommend you use Bing rather than Mappoint since this was discontinued by Microsoft in 2014. API keys to be able to access Bing Maps are available online at bingmapsportal.com. Here is a video on how to get a free Bing Maps key.

We are continuing to support Mappoint because there is a large installed base and many of our existing customers still use it. You can still download a free trial from Microsoft at:
